Hello friends,welcome to new information.Today we are discuss about Anatomy of the Heart and Cardiovascular System.

  • The heart and circulatory system make, the cardiovascular system. And it is also known as Transport system of the body.
  • Heart is a work as a pump and push the blood to the hole body as a pump that pushes blood to the organs, tissues and cells of the body.
  • This blood delivers oxygen and nutrients to the whole body and removes the carbondioxide and material made by the cell.

Structure and Function of the Heart:

  • Function of the heart is the pumps the blood of all body. Heart is situated between two lungs and lies in the left to the middle of the chest.

Structure of the Heart:

  • Size of the heart is about the fist and it is roughly cone-shaped.
  • Heart is of two sides the right side and left side. The left have a two chembers and right have a two chembers.The top two chembers is known as the left and right atria (Singular atrium).
  • The atria receive the blood from the different sources of the body. The left atrium takes the blood from the lungs and right takes from the rest of the body.

Blood Vessels:

  • Blood vessels are looks like a tubes which carries the blood.
  • Veins are type of blood vessels which carries blood from the heart of the body. Veins are microscopic blood vessels which carry the blood from the blood vessels.
  • Microscopic blood vessels connect the arteries and veins together called capillaries. Few main blood vessels which connect the different chambers of the heart. In this aorta is the largest artery in the body.
  • The left ventricle of the body which pumps the blood into the aorta, it carries the blood into the rest of the body through smaller arteries. In which main is the pulmonary artery, which is also called pulmonary trunk, it is a vessel, which emerges blood from the heart.
  • Pulmonary artery is a vessel which divides into right and left lungs.
  • The right ventricle pumps blood from right atrium to pulmonary artery and it sends deoxygenated blood back to the heart.
  • And then Systemic circulation carries the oxygenated from heart to all body parts and again pass to the heart.

valves:

  • Heart valve is the one-way valve which flow in only one direction through the heart.
  • Valves are made up of fibrous flaps of tissue and it is situated between heart chembers and in the blood vessels.
  • Valves performs function like gates which prevents the blood flowing from the wrong direction.
  • Four valves are mainly represented in a mammalian heart which determines the path of the blood through the heart.
  • Tricuspid valve:It is located between the right atrium and right ventricle.
  • Pulmonary valve:It is found between the right ventricle and the pulmonary artery.
  • Mitral valve: It is found between the left atrium and left ventricle.
  • Aortic valve:It is situated between the left ventricle and aorta.
